It
is a Trilingual, Multimedia E-Magazine
created by YOU and for YOU.
The
term “ALEEK” has been coined from Bengali language which means “Imaginary”,
and “PATA” stands for “Page or Leaf”, Thus “ALEEK PATA” is
here to nurture that part of our being which is made of Imagination, which always takes the back seat,
and we hide it from the world or even from ourselves.
We,
the human beings are the best creation of the Almighty; we don’t just live by
breathing in and breathing out. We can feel the beauty of the world, we can
think.
We
feel happy or angry about what is going on around us.
We
appreciate and we protest.
The sound of the dew drop falling from the
edge of a green leaf blade, the music of silence of the dark night, and even
the noise of a machine can encourage us to FEEL, and EXPRESS.
But,
generally we prefer to keep silence……….., as we feel shy to speak up, to
express ourselves due to the fear of rejection.
Time
has gifted mankind glittering gifts in form of the great Writers & Philosophers,
we read them and enjoy their creations, but, we feel shy to share our own.
From
here we felt the need of creating a space, where, one can express
herself/himself freely with minimum effort, without any fear of rejection or judgment.
So, ‘ALEEK PATA –The Expressive World’ is truly the space of your
own, where you can express, for that we don’t have to be great writer or
philosopher, from our personal experience we can say undoubtedly that, we need
to just break the silence.
The Journey:
It
all began in the autumn of 2016, the Bengalis of B.H.E.L. Haridwar, celebrate
Durgapuja with unparallel gaiety, and year 2016 was the 50th, the
Golden Jubilee year of that Celebration, thus, to mark this occasion, “SUBARNA
PATRA” came into existence, we were surprised to find the gold mine of creativity
treasured within the dwellers of the township, both Bengali or Non Bengali.
The
success of “SUBARNA PATRA” encouraged us to expand
the horizon, thus “the facebook version of “ALEEK PATA” came into
existence on 01st February, 2017 it was the day of worship of the
goddess of wisdom and knowledge “Mata
SARASWATI”.
The first online issue of “ALEEK PATA- The Expressive World ” published on 12th March, 2017 on the day of Holi, the festival of colour .

The first ever printed issue of "ALEEK PATA" published from Haridwar in September,2017 during Durga Puja.
Within a year i.e. March 2018- We crossed the milestone of 12th online issues.
Twelve months and Twelve issue is something which "ALEEK PATA" has achieved only because of your love and affection which you have showered on us-Thank You.

No, we never claim to be unique, but this place is made
